Today was world book day, and some of us decided to go to work dressed as a character from a children's book.

Turns out I could this time, result. Only me and one other girl dressed up. That doesn't bother me though, I'm just happy the Dirndl got an outing.

A great character to be dressed as on world book day, you look smashing!
I'm obsessed with dirndls and can't stop buying them. You've inspired me to do another dirndl post...all I have to do now is to round them all up, which may take a while...why oh why, didn't I put them all in one place? I think dirndl dresses are incredibly flattering and feminine...xXx
I used to get so excited about wearing fancy dress stuff to work. All my colleagues would moan. One year though, the theme was bad taste, and I wore a jumpsuit with shoulder pads and satin applique flowers. I wondered why the deputy head looked so cheesed off. Turns out she had a large collection of such suits in peach, mushroom and aqua - paid a fortune for them and wore them at weekends!
You look absolutely gorgeous in your dirndl and need more excuses to wear it!

I love this sweet dirndl on you Louise!!! Yah for dressing up you do know how to do that right! I bought one of these and have yet to wear it as I need to hem it thanks for the reminder!!! I love the knee highs too!
xxoo
Hurrah! I didn't have a clue about international book day.....I would have dressed up as, ooo, a Jane Austen character, maybe?!
Everytime you wear that dirndl I die a little of jealousy! XXX
That dirndl looks great on you so it's an utterly brilliant idea to utilise it into a fancy dress costume. x
I'd wear that dirndl as often as possible, it's fantastic! x
My childhood friend got given a beautiful dirndl when we were kiddies, I was very envious of it!
