Christmas shopping

Yesterday we popped over to Leamington as hubby needed to get some Christmas pressies. I have to admit, I've never seen the town so busy, we tried, unsuccessfully, to park in 2 multi storey car parks. They were just too full. Eventually we found a little car park tucked away near Jephson gardens, which was fortuitous because the sun was shining and it provided the perfect backdrop for my outfit shots.

Shoes - Dr Martens; Tights - Primark; Bag - vintage;
Coat - Vintage Eastex; stole - Miss Selfridge (via charity shop) Sunglasses - Foster Grant;
Hat - Reiss (gift)

I've not wore this vintage dress before despite it hanging in my wardrobe for months, but the quality of it is far before anything modern I own.

Dress - Vintage; Blouse - Vintage
I was glad to get my coat back on after these shots, and despite wearing my chunky soled Dr Marten shoes (yes, I have an obsession with DMs) my feet were pretty freezing for much of the day as we pounded the pavements and frequented the majority of the busy shops on the parade.

A trip into an up market makeup shop gave me the shock of my life though when I asked how much a lipstick was, to be told it was £31. Really?

Hubby got the presents he was after, and we enjoyed some yummy calorific hot chocolates in the only cafe we could get a seat in. I'd have liked to have taken hubby to vinteas, but there wasn't a chance of getting a seat in there.

Shopping at this time of year is totally crazy, but at least it was a nice dry, if bitterly freezing day.

I love the red and purple together! Leamington looks a damn sight prettier than Stevenage, where we have to go for proper shops! x

I agree with Curtise, it's an absolutely beautiful dress on you, with the blouse it looks stunning and I love your DMs too. At least it was a cold sunny day not a hideous dark rainy one

You are gorgeous, and yes it is crazy. We exchange things we make for each other, and buy ourselves what we want after the mad rush, hehehhee.
