Shanghai Lil

Lastnight we had a lovely night out with the people who I used to work with.

We went for a lovely curry, and there was lots of chatter and catching up to be had.

Going for the oriental look (before we figured out how to position the lamps)
I've still never found the illusive cheongsam, but I did find this Mandarin style top in the charity shop a few months back. It's still full of Eastern glamour, don't you think? It certainly fits the bill until I find a cheongsam in a size 16.
Boots - Deichmann, Skirt - River Island (via charity shop), top - Next (via charity shop)
Bag - vintage
I also found this beautifully glamorous skirt in the charity shop, check out the gorgeous bustle and corsetry detailing on the back. Delightful or what?

Gorgeous back detailing on the skirt
It was the first outing for my vintage lucite bag that I got for my birthday, and it got a whole lotta love.

The weather was appalling yesterday, so no outdoor photographs, but I think we've finally figured out a way of positioning our indoor lamps to give a passable effect for winter outfit shots... although you're probably going to get bored of looking at those green curtains after a few months.

Hope you're all having a good week.

Gorgeous outfit Louise! The lace part on the skirt is so sexy and that bag is a total beauty! It gets tricky to take pictures in winter, I'm dealing with that too.

Oh I love the back of the skirt. Tastefully sexy and it looks dynamite on you.
I just followed you. I would have just for your style, but once I saw Prudence I knew you were a kindred spirit. Anyone who is owned by an Airedale is fine by me!
