Quick, Slow, Quick, Quick, Slow

So, what a busy old day I had yesterday. I did think that being unemployed I would struggle to fill my days and would be going out of my mind by this, week 2 of unemployment, but actually I don't think I've stopped. It's been one thing after another.

Anyway, Monday I was contacted regarding a possible job opportunity. A 3 month contract with a local employer in my first choice area of expertise, so naturally I jumped at the chance. It was through a recruitment consultancy, and it wasn't one I had registered with, they had found my CV online and thought it suitable. They invited me yesterday to pop along to their offices for an interview with them, and to do some competency tests. As you can imagine, I was quite excited by the prospect since it's the only ray of hope I have had on the jobs front in all the time I've been applying. Ironic that it wasn't a job I'd applied for.

I opted for a smart but warm neutral look to go to the interview in. It's funny, I wore this Fever dress here a couple of weeks back, and it had been in my wardrobe waiting for an interview as I thought it was the perfect interview dress. I got fed up waiting for interviews, wore it anyway, and soon after have an interview to attend... do you think that's luck?

After the interview I had a potter around Nuneaton town centre. There was a vintage flea market on, where I bagged a cute little Beswick Airedale figure, and I also managed to find something in a charity shop that I've been looking for for ages, a denim skirt. only £3 too, which can't be bad. What with the early start for the interview I was back home by mid-afternoon. to walk the dogs and change outfit.

It was mine and hubby's first dance class. We'd signed up to West Coast Swing classes a couple of weeks back, both eager to dance and of course to get a bit of exercise, with our love of Blues, Jazz and all things vintage we picked this one out as being pretty perfect. So, off we trotted to our local college for our lesson. It was great fun, ok so despite having done dancing before I did have a bit of lead foot syndrome, and also I kept trying to take hubby's role and lead the dance, but these are minor things... I'm sure I'll sort them out. Hubby on the other hand got complimented by the dance tutor for his moves. Of course this is a fact he is never ever going to let me forget now, but there you go. A secret Fred Astaire all this time, and I never knew.

We both enjoyed dancing immensely and can't wait for lesson 2 next week.
