Hello 2012

So, here we are, 2012... According to the Mayan prophecies we only have until December 21st this year and then we're all done for anyway, so I intend to make the most of it before planet Earth gets sucked into a black hole. Shame I didn't realise until now that last week would be the last Christmas ever!

Anyway, I'm not going to make any resolutions this year because at the end of last year I had the life changing event of redundancy, and so this year is anyone's guess. What I do know is that I enter the year with a feeling that home and family are the most important things to me... and that's always a good mind set.

Lastnight hubby and I saw the New Year in quietly at our local pub. It was a nice and unseasonably mild night so I got to wear one of the dresses that hubby bought me for Christmas, and I really like its effortless glamour. So, 1st January and my first outfit shot of the year, not bad hey?

We stayed long enough to see the New Year in, then walked home and went straight to bed to the backdrop of fireworks going off everywhere.

Today I'm roasting a gammon joint, and Mum will be coming to join us for dinner. In the coming week hubby and I are going to do some decorating in the dining room before hubby has to go back to work the following week, and that's about it really.
