Happy days

Today I failed miserably at my first day of being a stay at home housewife. Hubby was home from work before I was home from shopping, dinner was late and I still haven't done the washing up. Never mind, tomorrow is another day.

Knowing I had so much to do today I wanted to be warm, but bright as I think I have got into a habit of not wearing bright enough colours.

This morning I had to hot foot it up to the doctors. I've had a sore throat for such a long time, like about a week. It feels like I'm swallowing glass, so I finally succumbed to the urges of hubby and Mum to go to the doctors and it turns out that I may have a bacterial throat infection, and so I'm on penicillan for the next week... all of a sudden no booze January kicks in again.

Beryl
From the doctors I was off to collect Beryl, and then I took her for a day out to nearby Solihull. Whoever knew that town centres were such laid back and enjoyable places during the week? Heaven knows they aren't at the weekend. Solihull was great, and I hadn't intended to buy anything but remember the dress I fell in love with in Monsoon before Christmas? Well, they had reduced it to £20... how could I say no?

All in all today has been a pretty excellent day.

Just for Vix, here are the shorts I bought on Saturday. I'll get a better picture as soon as I get a chance to wear them.

Love your outfit and what you've bought, It would have been a crime not to have bought the Monsoon frock and I agree with Krista, those shorts would rock with coloured opaques. xxxx
