Today hubby, step-son and I went off to Cardiff to visit step-daughter. It was an impromptu visit spurred on by the fact that it's a rare weekend where there isn't work being carried out on the house.
As some of my long term readers know, I used to have a passion (and a skill) for photography, and then like most of my hobbies it kind of fizzled out. I recently bought a new camera which would allow me to experess my photographic creativity, without burdening me down with the weight of the SLRs which I've previously taken along with me. So, bearing in mind that I've already told you about Cardiff in previous posts on previous visits, today I decided to take my camera along and treat it a bit like a photography trip instead. I shot in black and white, and purposely used either ISO 800 or 1600 to create the grainy, noisy effect I was looking for. It wasn't always easy shooting in such a high ISO in such bright sunlit conditions, but given my absence from photography for such a long time, I'm pretty pleased with today's results and feel a passion reigniting.
Enjoy.
